At the home of Reggie and Carol Collins in Chelan, Wash., an infinity-edge pool vanishes over the edge as if it’s spilling directly into the Columbia River below and new plants that have been in the ground just two years look as if they’ve been maturing for a decade or more thanks to the special care Anderson Landscaping gives them prior to planting.
They were on time, they were great to work with and we would recommend them to anybody who gave us a call.
A pool like no other
The pool and spa system designed and built by Anderson Landscaping is like a water feature that the Collins can swim in. Constructed of real rock (as opposed to faux rock commonly made by plastering concrete over a wire mesh), the pool and spa were specially designed to make the most of the views unique to the property. Remote control waterfalls, spillways, a spa that flows directly into the pool and a custom beach entry make the Collins’ pool and spa one of a kind.
“It just turned out fantastic,” said Reggie Collins.
To conserve energy and expense, the spa with its self-cleaning floor system superheats and is ready for use in less than 30 minutes. Later, when not in use, it quickly reverts to an unheated water feature – providing ambiance without wasting money.
“I feel like we can make anything we can dream up,” says Anderson Landscaping owner and creative force Joe Anderson who developed his pool-craft by mentoring with one of California’s premiere pool designers.
Anderson Landscaping works magic with more than pools, though. Every plant goes through a highly developed program of pre-planting care, including a dip in a organic mix the Anderson team likes to call “magic water.” The dip and dusting process helps young plants absorb nutrients and establish themselves more quickly and with higher success rates than untreated plants. This process combined with careful organic soil amendments means that, “plants look like they’re ten years old in just two years,” says Joe Anderson. The Collins residence is a prime example of what this process can do.
